Editorial policy
Clarity you can check.
Testosterone replacement therapy is a Your Money or Your Life topic under Google's own framework, meaning inaccurate information here can carry real consequences for a reader. That's the standard we hold every guide and tool to.
How we source claims
Every medical or health claim is meant to trace back to a cited, authoritative source. In order of preference, we favor government health agencies and medical societies (for example the NIH, the FDA, the Endocrine Society, and the American Urological Association), peer-reviewed journal articles, and a short list of high-trust medical institutions such as Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and Johns Hopkins Medicine. If a claim cannot be backed by a source like this, we rewrite it to be general and safe, or we drop it.
What we never do
We do not invent statistics, study results, or outcomes. We do not state that a treatment guarantees a specific result. We do not attach a medical credential to a writer who does not hold it, and we do not fabricate a reviewer's name or credential.
How our tools are built
Every tool names its underlying method and sources on its own page: the free and bioavailable testosterone calculator uses the Vermeulen (1999) equation, the ADAM questionnaire uses the original Morley et al. (2000) scoring rule, the STOP-BANG screener uses the validated obstructive sleep apnea risk questionnaire, and trackers and timing tools reference Endocrine Society, AUA and FDA prescribing information as applicable. None of our tools diagnose a condition, grade symptom severity, or recommend a specific dose, donation schedule, or treatment.
Medical review
Named medical review of our published guides is an ongoing process we are actively expanding, and we will not claim a reviewer credential we have not actually secured. Where a guide has a named medical reviewer, that name and credential appear directly on the article. Where review is still in progress, the article says so plainly rather than implying a review that did not happen.
Education, not treatment
TRT NYC is a publisher, not a clinic. Every guide frames its content as general education and consistently points readers toward a licensed clinician before acting on it. Our tools work the same way: they help a reader organize or understand their own numbers, and they stop short of diagnosis, prescription, or treatment advice.
Corrections
If you believe something we've published is inaccurate or out of date, tell us through ourcontact page. We review every correction request, and when a change is warranted we update the article and note the date it was last updated.
